We have been serving a considerable number of clients in the hospitality sector. Our clients vary from hotels to restaurants, casinos and catering centers. We apply the latest versions of Uniform System of Accounting for Hotels and Casinos. We give advices to our clients on the proper application of the Uniform Accounting System.
Our personnel are aware of the best practice for controls over operating hospitality cycles which address and mitigate common risky areas. These include purchasing, food reconciliations, and revenue and beverage stock controls. On the other hand, we have performed arbitration assignments for disputes among owners and operators of properties.

Oil and Gas

We have been serving numerous clients in the oil industry whether upstream of downstream. We rendered our services to companies owned within the Egyptian Ministry for Oil and Mining and to privately held companies. We are familiar with country policies relating to oil and gas and tendency to update those policies.
Oil and Gas is one of the largest sectors in Egypt. After tax, oil is the second income generating sector in Egypt. We consult with state owned companies on how to manage their concessions considering the available sources of finance and the opportunity cost.

Donor Funded Projects

Our Donor Funded Projects Division renders services to most donors such as the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), The United Nations' Development Programme (UNDP), the World Bank, the Social Fund for Development (SFD), and others. Our personnel have both rendered services to those donors and, at times, were employees at some of them. They have seen both sides of the business. They know what donors look for and are able to deliver their requirements.
The Donor Funded Projects Division consists of a team of highly qualified auditors and consultants who possess high analytical skills, knowledge about more advanced government business practices, and are competent in the use of state-of-the-art computer programs, telecommunications and other business related technology in order to serve and to respond to the needs of international donors and banks.
The following is a brief description of how the Special Services Division serves the various international donor agencies in Egypt:
· United States Agency for International Development: Our team conducted quantity contract to audit USAID funded projects in Egypt. They provided short-term quick response technical services in the area of financial management for contracts, grants, cooperative agreements, and host country agreements by reporting on individual projects compliance with USAID regulations, rendering our opinion on the control environment, and preparing a fund accountability statement. Our team also provided end-use verification reports the purpose of which is essentially to verify that materials, equipment and goods imported under the USAID Commodity Import Program (CIP) were utilized or used for their intended purpose. In addition, they provided consultation services in the area of claims verification.
- The European Commission in Egypt EC: Our team rendered numerous services to the European Commission in Egypt, including audit of funded projects, financial management policies and procedures development, reporting enhancement and others. Some of the projects we worked on in favor of the European Commission include:
- Technical Advisor in the framework of the Association Agreement Programme (SAAP), where our personnel tested internal monitoring mechanism, financial transactions and procurement process, reviewed financial records and its applications in the financial system with their respective internal manual. We recommended enhancements to the financial systems and revisions in the “Finance, Accounting & Financial Reporting” manual for financial reporting, integration of data as well as setting the control environment and establishment of monitoring and evaluation measurement tools and indicators. Our work included IT walk through.
- Technical Vocational Education And Training System In Egypt (TVET), where our personnel performed annual financial audits in favor of the EC. The TEVE consisted of seventeen sub-units, each of them is responsible for upgrading performance in specific economic sector in Egypt like leather, wood, and others.
- The United Nations Development Program (UNDP): The United Development Programme is one of the many United Nation's work in the area of development by obtaining donor fund either through the World Bank or from donors direct and utilizing these funds to provide technical assistance to certain governmental and private sector organizations in the fields of environment, water resources, electricity, power, health care, etc.
- The UNDP's contribution varies from one project to another, however, as a general rule, the UNDP contribution usually represents 90% of any one project's funding; the remaining 10% is usually financed through local governorates through the Ministry of International Cooperation.
As auditors of the UNDP our team reported on the financial, compliance and performance of the UNDP national projects that are working in different fields.- Social Fund for Development (SFD)
The SFD was established in 1991 during a very challenging period of Egypt's economic development. The objectives of the SFD are to: (i) help reduce poverty through employment generation and community development initiatives; (ii) help mitigate the adverse effects of economic reform on selected target population groups, and; (iii) provide help to Gulf returnees. Designed as a temporary rapid-disbursing institution, the SFD was to meet its objectives through five core programs: 1) public works, 2) community development, 3) enterprise development, 4) employment and retraining program, and 5) institutional development.
Our team are able to audit SFD funded core program projects by providing a fund accountability statement, compliance audit with local laws and regulations and the project's funding agreement with SFD. Also, we conduct performance audits on a project's social and material objectives.
